The Utah Valley Artist Guild welcomes guests. Meetings are held monthly in the Meeting Room at University Mall in Orem at 7:00 PM on the last Thursday of each month except December or as otherwise arranged. Please consult calendar for exceptions. We provide instruction by knowledgeable artists and other experts on subjects relevant to the arts, opportunities for exhibition, critiques, promote the cause of art in Utah County. Annual membership of $35 confers exhibiting privileges and a mailed copy of newsletter as well as a listing in the online directory of artists and e-mail notifications of UVAG activities. A reduced fee of $30 deletes the mailed newsletter.

UVAG Spring Exibit Intake February 28, 9-11 AM

Members may submit up to three works of art. This is an award exhibit and an entry fee of $10 for the first artwork, $7 for additional artworks will be charged. There will be a sign-up sheet for providing refreshments for the opening on Friday, March 6, when prizes will be awarded.

Brian Scott, Muralist and Experimental Artist Will Present on February 26. We will meet at 7 PM in the University Mall Meeting Room.

As one of Utah's premier mural artists, Brian Scott has over 16 years experience painting hundreds of murals for both commercial and residential clients. He studied fine art at Utah Valley University where he met and began working with local mural artist Job Biegel. Brian found mural painting tobe both fun and rewarding and loved helping clients bring their vision to life. Brian has worked with numerous cities, commercial businesses and schoolsto create beautiful works of art including the City of Murray, Granite Elementary School, Whittier Elementary School, The Provo Beach Resort, Costa Vida, Kneader's Bakery, Lake City International, King Arthur's Storage, Trafalga, Buena Vita Restaurant, Mt. Shadow Marine and many more.

Brian has painted numerous murals for both the Salt Lake and Utah Valley Parade of Homes including a recent Salt Lake Parade of Home's People's Choice Winner. He has had murals featured on Hot Homes of Utah and has worked with charities such as the Make-a-Wish Foundation and Ascend Alliance.

Brian specializes in custom murals of all styles, decorative painting and lettering, theming, faux finishes, floral motifs, faux marbling and wood-graining and tile backsplashes. He has extensive knowledge of
numerous paint products and is experienced working on various surfaces and textures including tile, plaster, wood, brick, cinder block and concrete as well as all other typical wall surfaces.
