The Utah Valley Artist Guild welcomes guests. Meetings are held monthly in the Meeting Room at University Mall in Orem at 7:00 PM on the last Thursday of each month except December or as otherwise arranged. Please consult calendar for exceptions. We provide instruction by knowledgeable artists and other experts on subjects relevant to the arts, opportunities for exhibition, critiques, promote the cause of art in Utah County. Annual membership of $35 confers exhibiting privileges and a mailed copy of newsletter as well as a listing in the online directory of artists and e-mail notifications of UVAG activities. A reduced fee of $30 deletes the mailed newsletter.

The UVAG September meeting will take place on Thursday, September 25 at 7:00 PM and will feature a tour of Kirk Richards' Studio. Kirk is well known for his religious art which has been featured at Springville Art Museum but he also creates other subject matter including portraits. To reach the studio, take the Spanish Fork Main St/ Price exit from I-15, stay to the right. Turn left onto Spanish Fork Main Street and continue through town. Just before the Hindu Temple turn left onto Woodland Hills Drive. There may be a detour that will eventually put you back on Woodland Hills Drive. Continue past the fire station,through the four way stops, until the road ends ina T on Eagle Nest Dr. Turn left onto Eagle Nest. Kirk Richards’ home and studio house is on the right about a half mile down at 1130 Eagle Nest Drive. The current exhibit at SCERA in Orem will end on September 30 with pick-up from 9-11 AM. We will begin an exhibit at UVU Library on October 4 with drop off from 9-11 AM If you are interested, the Utah County Art Board is publishing a Utah County Artists Source Book.
